Patricia Connelly has been an attorney for over twenty years. Following a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Richard J. Clark in the Circuit Court for Charles County, Maryland, Ms. Connelly entered private practice in Montgomery County, Maryland where she represented both individuals and corporations in a wide range of civil litigation matters including employment, discrimination, securities, personal injury, first amendment and other commercial matters. She also has experience in estate, guardianship and probate matters. Ms. Connelly joined Trout & Richards in April of 2000 where her practice continues in the areas of employment law, securities and complex commercial litigation.

Ms. Connelly has represented clients in federal and state courts in the District of Columbia and Maryland and has appeared before a number of state and federal agencies including the EEOC and the NASD.

Ms. Connelly is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland. She earned her B.A. cum laude, from the State University of New York at Albany in 1977 and received her J.D., cum laude, from the Syracuse University College of Law in 1981.

Ms. Connelly is a member of the Women’s Bar Association of the District of Columbia and currently serves as Co­chair of the Small and Solo Practice Forum of the Women’s Bar. She is also a member of the Labor and Employment Section of the District of Columbia Bar.

Ms. Connelly also holds a Master of Arts Degree in Theatre and is an experienced playwright and director.
