Patricia E. Connelly
Patricia Connelly has been an attorney for over twenty-five years. Following a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Richard J. Clark in the Circuit Court for Charles County, Maryland, Ms. Connelly entered private practice in Montgomery County, Maryland where she represented both individuals and corporations in a wide range of civil litigation matters including employment, discrimination, securities, personal injury, first amendment and other commercial matters.
Ms. Connelly joined Trout Cacheris & Janis (then Trout & Richards) in April of 2000. Her practice continues in the areas of complex commercial litigation, employment law and securities matters. She has also conducted internal investigations in conjunction with employment discrimination and other complaints. Ms. Connelly has represented clients in federal and state courts in the District of Columbia and Maryland. She has also represented clients in arbitration and mediation and has appeared before a number of state and federal agencies including the EEOC and FINRA (formerly the NASD).
Ms. Connelly is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland. She earned her B.A., cum laude, from the State University of New York at Albany, and an M.A. in Theatre from the University of New Mexico. She received her J.D., cum laude, from the Syracuse University College of Law.
Ms. Connelly is a member of the Women’s Bar Association of the District of Columbia where she served for four years as Co-chair of the Solo and Small Practice Forum. She is also a member of the Labor and Employment Section of the District of Columbia Bar.
